Bean Harvest 2018

A Bug’s Eye View…

Sam Labonte braved it out with his phone (by leaving it in the dust) and got this cool shot of a Fendt 828 during bean harvest this year. Luckily his phone survived the shot and we got a neat video out of the deal.

Taking Care of Your Health

Maintenance Monday- November 26, 2018

Since it’s “Movember” we felt it would be good to touch on the importance of maintaining the most important piece of equipment on your farm- YOU. We have a special episode, which Shane managed to kick-off in Universal as he was enjoying a much needed vacation with his family. The whole point of this episode is to encourage you to take time for yourself- get a check-up. Don’t put off seeing your doctor and make sure you can be around for your families for a long time.

Making Roads

Some footage we took out at New Elm Colony in October this year- You’re looking at Challenger MT865C pulling a Reynolds Scraper. It’s quite the set-up!

Meet Ken Hebenik

Ken Hebenik, Shop Foreman, Journeyman Technician

There’s a man behind the scenes making sure everything runs seamlessly in our shop and that’s Ken Hebenik. He has worked at Hanlon for almost 21 years- he has been the shop foreman for a year, and previous to that, he drove truck. Although he really enjoyed transporting equipment, his expertise and attention to detail has led him to his position today.

Ken says one of the best things about his day is having the opportunity to talk with customers. When it comes to all of the service technicians he is responsible for, Ken has few complaints. “It’s a pretty good group where everyone gets along really well- everyone helps everyone,” he said.

Over the years, Ken says it has been really exciting to see the evolution of Fendt tractors and how they have really taken off. When it comes to Hanlon as a whole, there’s a reason Ken has stuck around. “It’s a family atmosphere here,” he said. “You’re not just another employee.”

Ken has been married for 15 years to his wife Allison and they have two 9-year-old twins; Logan and Ava. In their free time they enjoy going camping and curling.

Battery Maintenance

Maintenance Monday- November 5, 2018

This is a continuation of last week’s Maintenance Monday as we were discussing prepping your equipment batteries for winter storage. Before you check the charge and disconnect your battery, don’t forget to ensure they are clean and free from corrosion. In this video Shane demonstrates how to do so.
