New WR Series Windrower by Hesston by Massey Ferguson
It’s immediately noticeable there have been some significant changes on Massey Ferguson’s new WR Series windrowers. The most obvious would be the upgrades to the side panel shielding and end cap. These modifications allow for better cooling and airflow. The updated cooling package improves airflow across the radiator while keeping it easily accessible to clean and maintain.
Another major change in this new series is the conversion from an open hydraulic system to a closed one. This provides up to 10% increased efficiency in fuel savings or delivers up 
to 10% more power to the header. The V-Cool™ system is standard and also aids in cooling and fuel efficiency with the auto-reversing air direction.
Models range from 197 to 265 horsepower and can reach 24.5 mph road speeds. High performance AGCO Power engines are standard in all, with larger, 7.4 L engines in the WR235 and WR265 models. The WR series is now also equipped with a higher capacity, 150 gallon fuel tank.
The spacious cab features a large curved windshield and remarkable 360 degree views. They’ve made the instructor’s seat a bit larger and fitted a sizeable storage compartment below.
Of course, comfort is key. These windrowers come standard with the foot pegs, a large operating seat and unmatched cab suspension.
Technology is top-notch in this windrower and it begins with the 9” Datatronic™ 5 terminal. Within it you will find all key operational elements in an easy-to-use, colour touchscreen interface. It features smart technology which, if enabled, is intuitive and can execute many functions automatically.
It can auto adjust things like header speed and ground speed based on various ground and crop conditions. MF Guide is also factory fit and delivers a complete hands-free guidance system.
Dual screens are also available as an additional option.
Headers and Attachment Options
5300 Series Disc Header
NEW Crop dividing wheel on side assists in down forage applications or point rows on pivots which would typically bunch without divider. This wheel can cut through materials easily preventing build up.
5400 Series Dyna Swath Draper Head
This MF draper head delivers excellent header floatation, easily cuts through downed crops, is available with automatic reel speed, and can be easily attached and removed.
Triple Windrow Attachment (TWA)
Merge 3 passes into one windrow. Reduces soil compaction, no need for a rake, in turn, minimizing ash content and improving nutrition for animals.
