Brandt New High Speed Disc
Ready to tackle the field.
Brandt’s new high speed disc is tough and delivers one-pass action.
Brandt has yet again expanded their agricultural line with the release of their new high speed disc. This disc delivers on increasing productivity by decreasing maintenance and also enhancing versatility. It can prepare ideal seedbeds, manage residue, level ruts and also reclaim wetlands in fewer passes.
The Brandt disc offers operating speeds from 10-14 mph as well as working widths ranging from 16 to 45 feet. Its active wing down pressure system provides consistent ground engagement at high speeds. This disc is able to handle multiple applications with thoughtfully engineered disc angles and row settings. They are able to deliver a straight pull while handling tasks like fracturing soil burying and mixing residues.
Disc Design
Discs are customizable to 20” or 22” diameters and three different pan configurations are also available. Choose from U-notch discs to handle heavy residue, smooth discs for uniformity and high wear resistance or fluted discs which are a hybrid of both and feature a “self-sharpening” tool edge.
When needing to maneuver over obstructions while delivering consistent ground pressure, the independently mounted discs with rubber torsion suspension complete the task.
Maintenance
Brandt has also implemented several ways to reduce maintenance on the disc. Lateral gang adjustment reduces replacement frequency as the disc can be moved to compensate for blade wear. Additionally, greasing is minimal as the roller only has 6, easily accessible, grease points. The composite bushings with nylon wipers and sealed disc hubs also require no greasing at all.
Durability
This high speed disc is designed to be highly durable, resulting in less maintenance and optimal uptime. All hinge points have induction hardened chrome plate pins and feature adjustment points and controls which are easily accessible from the ground. Robotic welding and premium components on this implement improve outstanding durability. Couple that with an average weight of 1000 pounds per foot, and you’re dealing with an industry heavy-weight.
Other key features include floatation tires, a cart mounted axle, a hydraulic hose management arm, and a heavy- duty hydraulic jack. The high quality hydraulic components and powder coat finish maintain the implement’s condition to deliver a higher resale value.
An expansive range of disc and finishing attachment options are available to absorb shock and deliver improved ground engagement. Some options include rear finishing suspension, and rubber, cage or spring rollers.
