The HD4SR Bale Skoop
Smooth Stacking
ProAg’s HD4SR Bale Skoops
When it’s time to roadside bales, getting it done fast and cost-effectively is a top priority. ProAg’s auto-align bale skoops make this possible- giving one operator the ability to stack about 40 to 60 tons per hour. The HD4SR is easy to operate, and only requires about three hours to become a proficient user.
The HD4SR can pick either four 4×4 bales or six 3×4 bales at a time. With the auto-align system, bales can be picked in any direction. The arms centre the bale and can pick it from a horizontal or vertical position. This also allows the picker to travel in the same tracks as the baler.
The scoop can maintain a 5 mph pace while collecting the bales since they align and scoop while in motion. The inclined bed uses gravity to shift the bales to the back.
Stacking the bales can be done quickly and easily. The operator steers the hitch to align with the previous stack, when the bottom bale touches the other stack the alignment arms can be opened, then the operator is able to pull forward and release the stack.
The HD4SR offers a heavy-duty design with a 22,000 lb capacity axle bolted to the bale skoop. It reduces compaction since it is equipped with floatation tires. Servicing is made simple with its easy-access manifold located at the end of the hitch. Custom oversized rods on the hydraulic system allow for maximum speed and strength. The custom designed sequence belt in the hydraulic system makes for easy operation of the loader and alignment arms.
