Main Chain Maintenance – Big Square Baler

Maintenance Monday June 18, 2018

For this week’s Maintenance Monday we would like to remind you to check the tension of the main chain on your big square baler. This should be done daily as it can easily lose tension causing it to skip cogs on your baler. When this happens, your timing will be off which in turn can cause you to sacrifice bale quality. Check out this week’s video for the details.

Maintenance Monday- June 11, 2018

Can you guess what’s wrong with the picture below? For this week’s Maintenance Monday we just want to send out a friendly reminder- storing toolboxes or other heavy objects in the front of your cab is never a great idea. It doesn’t take much for these objects to hit the glass. So keep those windshields in one piece and exercise a little caution when getting ready to head out for the day.

Forage Harvest Clinic

May 31, 2018

Great to be a part of the Forage Harvest Clinic today! A bit chilly, but it turned into a perfect rainy day to get some hay education. Guest Speaker, Dr. Dan Undersander, has a wealth of knowledge and led some great discussions. Thanks Performance Seed for organizing the event!

Cage Drive Belt Tip: Maintenance Monday

Maintenance Monday- May 28, 2018

If you operate a windrower, this is a great time saving technique! It happens, cage drive belts will get worn out and burn up- and the worst place this can happen is while you’re in the field. When it comes to replacing these, taking apart the entire header isn’t a quick task. This week Shane demonstrates a quick and easy way to turn a 45 minute job into a 5 minute job.
