New Fendt 900 Series
The New Fendt 900 Series – Gen 6
A New Breed On The Track
With its sleek, lightweight frame design and ability to put out some serious power, Fendt’s new 900 Gen 6 series is the thoroughbred of high horsepower tractors. The engineers pulled out all the stops when designing this tractor and it became evident with its recent accolade for Machine of the Year 2020 and also by winning the Audience Choice Award. Specifically tailored for flexibility to fill the needs of row-crop farmers, it delivers high-horsepower and improved wheel spacing options combined with a smaller frame and less weight.
The 942 Vario is the highest horsepower tractor ever to be released in Fendt’s 900 series. All of the Gen 6 tractors are equipped with a MAN 6-cylinder engine and mimic many of the selling features of the 1000 series. This includes its VarioDrive powertrain, the Fendt iD drive engine and high flow hydraulic capacity.
Fendt’s high-tech powertrain eliminates range changes and delivers clever torque distribution- automatically diverting power from the front and rear axles. This minimizes slip while enhancing engine power and fuel economy. Referred to as Fend iD, the high torque, low engine speed concept intelligently operates at the optimal rpm based on desired ground speed and working conditions. The low-revving not only saves on fuel and lessens noise, but it also reduces long-term wear on the tractor.
Also new to the 900 series is the three hydraulic system variants. At the top of the scale is the dual pump system which pumps up to 113 GPM. Or choose from a single 43.6 GPM pump or the standard 58 GPM pump.
Many features which were available in the 900 S4 series still remain with the new Gen 6 tractor. This includes the X5 life cab, front PTO & hitch options, the reversible fan and front hydraulic options.
The 900 Gen 6 is an example of Fendt’s excellence in the tractor market. As Fendt continues to breed high quality tractors with outstanding efficiency, outlasting durability and high-tech intelligence, there is no question this trifecta will keep these tractors in the lead. It’s definitely Fendt and it’s definitely time.
