Meet The Team: Sam Labonte
Sam was the lucky one out of the Hanlon team to be featured “in the spotlight” this month. Definitely not something he was too excited about, but he was a good sport about the whole thing. Here’s his story if you missed it:

If you’re looking to have a conversation with a friendly guy, look no further than Sam. He’s been with Hanlon Ag Centre for five and a half years now and says his favourite part of the job is meeting new people. Perhaps it’s fitting he’s in sales- something he says can be challenging but it is also what he really enjoys about it.
Sam moved to Alberta from just outside of Montreal in 2003. He was drawn to Alberta because he found there was a lot of opportunity here in the Ag industry- an industry he’s passionate about. He began working in Alberta on a harvest crew and later met the girl he settled down with. Joanna and Sam now have three children; two daughters and a son. Although the summer months are a busy time at work, the kids will occasionally pop into the shop to spend a little quality time with dad.
Hockey, antique tractor pulls and car shows keep Sam occupied during the less busy times of year. In fact Sam can get pretty worked up about hockey, just ask him about his favourite team- the Senators (ha ha). That will surely get a good rise out of him!
Joking aside, when it comes down to it, you can learn a lot about Sam from his twitter handle which reads- “Farm kid selling farm equipment cause he likes to play in the dirt and can’t afford a farm on his own. Working at Hanlon Ag Centre and loving it.”
