Massey Ferguson’s new “S” series of tractors are making a name for themselves as economical tractors that offer up some premium features. The 7S series fits into the higher horsepower class with models ranging from 155 to 210 hp. The beauty of these tractors is their advanced technology that delivers low fuel consumption, longer service intervals, excellent traction control, along with great maneuverability and lift capabilities.
The 7S series can be equipped with a Dyna-VT or Dyna-6 transmission. It has a 6 cylinder, 6.6 litre AGCO power engine. Both of these series have proven to be highly reliable while also being great on fuel consumption. The Dyna-6 delivers six Dynashift ratios stepped in four ranges. The Dyna-VT is the best on fuel efficiency and provides an automatic mode for regulating engine speed. The low engine revolutions and low idle technology provide significant fuel savings on both.
Depending on individual needs, a variety of hydraulic capacities can be equipped, with 29 gal/min as standard and an optional 39 or 50 gal/min available. Up to 5 remotes are available in the rear, with two available in the front, along with an optional front 3pt and PTO.
Standard PTO speeds deliver up to 2000 engine rpm as its maximum power rating. Other additional PTO options benefit from a “constant power” band of up to 1500 rpm.
The 7S series is a good fit for livestock operations which require an agile tractor that is built for loader work. The FL4227 loader delivers 5200 lbs of lift to max height at pivot pins. It also features a market-leading, 16.2’ turning radius for maximum maneuverability.
