There are big advantages that result from knowing exact moisture readings when baling. Preventing crop loss, ensuring safe storage and maintaining nutrients are key factors that rely on tracking moisture levels. With the H2O Precision Moisture Sensor, highly accurate moisture readings can be read. Furthermore, the technology can be implemented on any brand and model of baler. The sensor functions in wet silage bales or dry hay, and can be equipped to small square, large square and round balers.
Large Square Balers: 5% to 60% Moisture Level Accuracy
Small Square Baler: 5% to 33% Moisture Level Accuracy
Round Balers: 5% to 60% Moisture Level Accuracy
Easy connectivity: Kit includes in-chamber moisture sensors, harness and processor. A smartphone or tablet (Apple or Android) can be used to connect with a free app found on iTunes or the Google Play Store.
How it works: For round balers, moisture discs are mounted on each side of the bale chamber and read moisture across the width of the entire bale. For small and large square balers, two star wheels are mounted in the bale chamber where moisture is measured from side to side across the full width of the bale.
Dye marker kits are an additional option to mark bales containing high moisture levels with a food grade stripe.
The H20 Precision Moisture Sensor is the same technology that is used with preservative applicator kits and is the optimal stand alone solution for square bales that are dense.
