The 9580T makes its mark being a highly manoeuvrable multi-tasker, designed to handle heavy materials.
By now, I would imagine most are aware we have added another equipment brand to our line. Pronounced Vie-Duh-Mun; Weidemann is now a brand you will be seeing a lot more of around the dealership. The line includes telescopic wheel loaders, smaller farm loaders and also telehandlers. We will be seeing more of these units come onto the lot sometime around spring. Currently we have a 9580T available for demos, which we will be focusing on in this article.
The 9580T is a machine built to handle heavy materials and is well suited for cattle and hay operations. It’s a great multi-tasker that can function for feeding, stacking, seeping, mucking out and transporting. It can be equipped with a multitude of attachments which are easily interchanged with the hydraulic quick change system.
Getting the job done quickly and efficiently is what this machine was designed to do. It can reach speeds up to 25 mph without shifting gears, and has a Power Drive 370 variable hydrostatic transmission.
Stability and lift capacity are paramount with the 9580T, and it delivers unmatched tipping, load power and pushing force. Maneuverability and traction control is excellent with the articulated joint and oscillating axle in the rear. At 40º the turning radius is 19′ across the tires and 8′ on the interior.
Operators work comfortably and efficiently in the 9580T. Cab windows give 360º views of the surrounding environment. Two doors with sliding windows and the wiper on the roof window provide good accessibility and visibility. The cab offers up plenty of leg and headroom and has ergonomic controls throughout.
The multi-function joystick is equipped with automatic bucket return which enables the operator to save and return the attachment to exactly the same position. This works from both the bottom up or the bottom down. A “jog dial” control allows for manual adjustment of the hydraulic flow rate to conserve resources on the attachment. A 7” digital colour display keeps the operator informed with standard and active function notifications.
A reversible fan comes standard on all units and allows the operator to reverse the airflow on the intake surfaces and engine hood, removing excess dirt. Conveniently located service panels provide hassle-free access to the engine, hydraulic system and electronics.
