Hayboss 700 Preservative Applicator

The Application All-Star Arrives
The new Hayboss 700 comes with major upgrades- improving both functionality and efficiency.
Harvest Tec has undergone a major revamp with the design of their newest automatic preservative applicator- the Hayboss 700. Its improvements enhance efficiency, precision and ease-of-use while also requiring less maintenance and time from the operator.
One of the key differences on this applicator is the change from a three pump design to a single bypass pump with pulsating solenoid valves. This holds the preservative better and also prevents check valves from plugging. Deutch plugs are used in replacement of the amp style plugs and reduce the possibility of moisture interference. The additional seals deter drawbar corrosion and prevent power loss back to the applicator.
The new applicator features an internal style wheel encoder inside the star wheel block. This design prevents twine from getting caught up on it and interfering with the precision of the preservative application. The star wheel design remains consistent with previous models and features the same accurate side to side, low voltage, low resistance, moisture measuring ability.
Another major advantage on the 700 series is the improved style of flow metre. Similar to a flow metre you would find on a sprayer, the dual solenoids are able to manage a wide range of preservative types. The larger spray tips are able to handle all baling and application rates.
Overall, the new applicator features fewer components than previous applicators, and less parts means less maintenance.
Not only are there improvements on the mechanics, but the software has also undergone some upgrades as well. Operators are now able to go through other functions while running the applicator. For example, it is possible to look at the job average displays, bale weights, bale moistures, etc., all while bailing.
Operator’s are now able to re-open an existing job record and add to it. In other words, operator’s can re-record over old job records- giving them the ability to start on one field, go to another, then return to the previous field and pick up where they left off.
