A Tractor of all Trades
From row crop, to loader applications, and much more, Fendt’s new 700 Gen7 tractor is designed to offer it all.
Another generation of Fendt tractors are leading the way with some unique industry firsts once again. In late August, Fendt premiered the 700 Gen7 with the slogan “You dreamt it. We built it.” Setting new standards in the 200-300 hp class of tractors, the five available models are loaded with details that set them apart from any other tractors on the market. It has a small frame for its class, is highly maneuverable, and can be used for row-crop or loader applications.
It begins with an industry leading, extremely low, power-to-weight ratio for its horsepower segment. A new AGCO Power 7.5 litre, 6 cylinder engine is under the hood, along with a highly efficient concentric air system (CAS). The CAS has a pressurized fan which uses 43% less drive power than a standard one.
Of course it comes standard with Fendt’s VarioDrive CVT transmission allowing it to reach speeds up to 50 kph. The independently controlled axles and variable four wheel drive, distribute torque as needed. Superior traction control is achieved and this also keeps the speed low and engine power steady regardless of ground conditions. The Fendt iD low engine speed concept delivers ultimate fuel efficiency, reduces wear and lessens noise in the cab.
Up to 58 gpm high performance hydraulics are available; it comes standard with 43.6 gph hydraulics. The integrated tire pressure system, Fendt VarioGrip, is an available option, giving the operator the ability to control tire pressure from the cab to adjust for field or road conditions.
The technology is no exception on this tractor either as the FendtOne operator’s station controls it all. The multifunction joystick, 3L (loader) joystick and push dial controls are ergonomically located providing the operator with strain-free control. The armrest features coloured fingertip controls, some of which are customizable to meet the operator’s demands. The cab contains two terminals and can be equipped with an optional third retractable monitor as well.
