Trimble’s WeedSeeker 2 technology reduces herbicide costs and saves time.
Destroying weeds in a field just got a lot more effective with Trimble’s WeedSeeker 2. This second generation weed detection system uses advanced optics to find and destroy resistant weeds. The system’s advanced processing power is able to read the field and determine when it passes over a weed. Once the weed is underneath, the sensor signals the spray nozzle which delivers the appropriate amount of herbicide directly to the weed. This spot treatment is highly effective, and reduces herbicide usage by up to 90%.
Trimble has been perfecting their weed control applications for over 25 years. The WeedSeeker 2 is ISOBUS compatible, provides lightweight sensors and cabling, features a universal mount for easy installation and has new housing for simplified maintenance and residue protection. The system can apply specialized herbicide only to resistant weeds and also has an expanded weed detection width to 50 cm spray nozzle spacing. Its operating speeds are faster, up to 40 kph, since the sensors read more per second and are able to pick up smaller weeds.
