Brandt U-Trough Augers

An efficient and cost effective way to move grain while minimizing damage.

Since Brandt’s new U-Trough auger came on the scene last fall, it has established a pretty good reputation for itself. It boasts a cost friendly way to cash in on a  highly efficient and gentle grain handling tool.

The new auger moves up to 9,000 bushels per hour running on a 38 hp Kohler engine. Because of the design of the u-shaped barrel and auger flighting, the capacity is doubled compared to that of a standard auger, while still requiring less horsepower.

Also unique to this augers design is its ability to reduce the amount of damage caused to the grain. Since contact at the top of the barrel is avoided, the grain is able to “float” over the flighting. Grain doesn’t stall or get pushed out either, allowing it to continue floating at peak capacity.

Engine Position

The engine rests in a suspended position and does not move depending on the augers position, which eliminates the need for a tensioner belt.

Reversible Gearbox

A reversible gearbox provides hassle-free clean-outs since all of the grain is pushed to the bottom of the intake where it can be emptied easily for quick rotation between crops.

An optional low-profile intake gives the best reach in the industry and is unique to Brandt. The U-Trough auger can easily clear tall bin pads to get under far-reaching hopper bins.

The U-Trough is also available with gas or electric drive options.
