The Quantum Quality

Morris’ innovative drill brings new strength to the line.
It has been almost two years since the release of the Quantum and so far the response from producers has been positive. The results say this drill delivers when it comes to maintaining good depth control, effectively controlling seed placement and producing even emergence. Over the last two years the Quantum has demonstrated its ability to perform and is turning good yields into great ones.
Good depth control is a major attraction with this drill, especially for those dealing with a lot of uneven terrain. The parallel linkage feature maintains a consistent angle of entry to the soil delivering exact seed placement over a range of +/- 8 inches.
Using packers, the Quantum ensures high seed to soil contact. The packers effectively manage residue on the field, deterring uncovered seed and spotty germination. The paired row openers, which are designed with wider tips, prevent the soil from fracturing.
Product separation is easily achieved with the Quantum because of the double shoot openers. The Quantum does a great job placing the seed consistently in the designated seedbed while the fertilizer is placed in the unfractured channel below.
The Quantum’s redesigned air system includes a 28 mm flat fan divider head. This new stainless steel divider head and meter system is much more accurate than ones on previous drills. It also pushes through less air, saving on horsepower, and is more gentle on seeds.
The Quantum shines with its ability to deliver a high yield potential, however, the flexibility and durability of this machine also increase its value quite a bit.
Reconfigurable frame options on the drill provide greater flexibility when input changes are necessary down the road. Having the ability to make adjustments will also likely increase its trade-in value since it is offers appeal to a wider market.
Tube laser technology used in the manufacturing process cuts down on parts, wear and tear and enhances durability of the drill. The frame design is 154% stronger than previous drills. The openers are designed with Morris’ exclusive ShieldCore technology decreasing wear significantly.
Morris has made it clear this drill was not designed to improve on drills they already manufacture, but to create an entirely new concept which would set a new industry standard. Based on the feedback thus far, it seems as though Morris is achieving that goal.
